This weeks Convocation Speaker was no stranger to Pepperdine or to its student and faculty body. Greg Lee graduated Pepperdine University in the Spring of 2010 and was an influential member of ATO for his last three years on campus. Greg was nominated to be the Student Body President in his final year at Pepperdine and made movements towards a stronger and better campus. Post Graduation, Greg has enjoyed successes as an on camera news reporter and sports anchor on Channel 3 KESQ Palm Springs, California. When he is not working he devotes himself to the people and places that are important to him and have had significant roles in his life, so when He was asked to speak at convocation back at his Alma Mater, he was more than willing to impart some of his knowledge to Pepperdines striving and confident student body. His speech was both motivational and personal. Being that he has been in our position as undergrads at Pepperdine, his words were able to resonate strongly with the audience. He encouraged us to slow life down and to listen to what God has in store for us and take note of the little things that we tend to oversee each day. God has a plan for us and there is no need to devote ourselves and our minds heavily to tasks and chores of each day. College goes by very quickly and we, as students, tend to put so much stress on ourselves that we are unable to enjoy the opportunities that are laid before us. Greg shared passionately and gave us a great reminder as to what the important things in our hectic lives are.
