Tuesday before break, finals just a day away. I can't think of a better time to get sit down with all my brothers and eat Christmas dinner together. It was surely a day to remember. They day started for me when our beloved Tuna came up to the house early, looking for three brothers to play his favorite card game with him, called pitch. Its something we do at the house every Tuesday night. I was on his team, and together we won two games before dinner. Talk about starting the night off right. Our house mother and cook, Mrs. Cat, cooked an amazing meal than I cannot even begin to describe. I think I ate enough turkey for three people. Just as I was about to go to town on the dessert, one of my brothers grabbed me and took me to another room in house where we all put on our costumes for the night's entertainment. Our president, Kyle Powers, made a pretty good santa, sitting in his usual chair by our "Christmas tree," who was none other than Tory dressed in a tree costume. Our Risk Manager, Matt, made a pretty foxy Mrs. Claus. I think some eyes were staring a little too long as he walked through the dining room. Then Frosty the Snowman and the Grinch made an appearance, with me dressed as the Grinch's apprentice. "Santa" called upon each of us to give us our presents. After that, the new pledges surprised us with a poem they wrote for Mrs. Cat. She was very emotional afterwards to say the least. Tuna wrapped everything up with a speech he wrote for the night. Lastly, we all filed into the chapter room to watch the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, a movie we used to watch with Ma, our former house mother, every year. It was surely a night to remember with many smiles and laughs.
