The Ball State Taus soccer team beat Sigma Nu 1 – 0 on Thursday, September 15, 2011 to begin their quest to repeat as the fall Greek Outdoor Soccer Champions. Sean FitzSimons scored the lone goal of the victory.

Brothers FitzSimons and Caleb McClellan played outstanding defense keeping the opponent scoreless.

Since re-colonization in October 2009, Theta Alpha’s soccer teams have become an intramural powerhouse. Last year alone the Taus won Outdoor Greek, Indoor Greek and placed second and third in Indoor Men’s leagues during the winter, creating quite the presence not only within the Greek-soccer community but the Men’s leagues as well.

With the first victory under the belt, brothers hope to keep the tradition of soccer success alive with another solid year.
