In November, brother Cedric Nguimatsa was appointed to put on an event for refugees. The event was "Boots and Sandals". The name was picked because when refugees arrived in the United States, all they had with them were a pair of sandals. The 'boots' part comes from the fact that we live in Texas and a lot of people wear boots. The event was a huge success and it made front page headlines in the school newspaper.
