Clemson University held IFC Rush two weeks ago on campus. Our chapter (Eta Pi) came out every night of the week and showed rushees why they should become part of our chapter. Many of us shared brotherhood stories and how being apart of the chapter has helped shape our lives for the better. We stressed that being a brother of Alpha Tau Omega is not just something that lasts during college, but is something that will last a lifetime.
The first two nights of Rush were held on Bowman Field where every fraternity had their tents up serving food and getting to know the potential new members. Our invite round was held at a sushi restaurant downtown called 356. They provided us with dinner and a great atmosphere to further gage our interests in our future brothers. Our final round consisted of dinner made by several brothers along with two guest speakers, alumni James Clinton and Danny Clinton. They ended the night giving their feelings about the chapter and telling the potential new members present why they should join our chapter. It was a great night for all involved.
We ended up extending 21 bids with 19 accepting. We are very pleased with the turnout and are excited for our new members wanting to be part of our brotherhood. A special thanks to brother Jonathan Hill, who served as our Rush Chair for this semster. He did a great job all around and made it an enjoyable experience for all. Also, we would like to thank brother York Dilday for cooking food for the week. We could not have done it with out you two. We look forward to sharing more stories about our chapter throughout the year.
Love and Respect,
Joseph Young
