Recently the brothers of the ATO colony at ECU participated in their first Homecoming Spirit Cup.  The brothers teamed up with the sisters of Kappa Delta for Homecoming.  The weeks events included a banner competition, lawn competition, skit, canned food drive, and a float competition for the Homecoming parade.  Everyone enjoyed participating in their first Spirit Cup and had fun with all of the events included.  The highlights of the week included the ATO/KD team placing second in the canned food drive, donating 1,275 lbs. of canned food to the local food bank.  The team also placed First in the float competition, taking home the $350 prize for First place.  At the end of the week the Alpha Tau Omega/ Kappa Delta team placed second overall in Spirit Cup, losing by a small margin to the ECU Student Ambassadors.  The ECU Assistant Director for Student Organization said, "This is the first year in a long time that the race for Spirit Cup has been so close.   Usually Student Ambassadors win by a landslide, but this year someone actually gave them a run for their money."  The brothers were excited to have done so well in their first year competing for Spirit Cup.  Everyone enjoyed the events the week had to offer and is very excited for competeing next year!
