This past weekend was Pepperdines 75th anniversary! All the details for this weekend had been planed out all summer and year to make it the best waves weekend yet, and I would have to say that it was successful in that. Friday night was the kick off of Blue and Orange Madness. Firestone Field House and the parking lot was filled with students and parents dancing, eating Free In N Out, Riding on the roller coasters, and playing all sorts of carnival games. Later in the night we moved into the gymnasium to watch the Pepperdine Dance, Step and Cheerleading teams perform. There was also a half court shot contest, three point shooting contest and dunk contest. The big performance of the night came from "Americas Best Dance Crew" who flew out from Houston, Texas to display their talents.

The following night was kicked off on Alumni Field with the well anticipated Lip Sync Contest. This year ATO was partnered with Tri Delta and came out of the contest with the First Place trophy for the second year in a row! Despite our strong showing and efforts we didn't place first overall in the Spirit Cup but proudly settled with second place. The night capped off with a beautiful concert and performance by Malibus own, Colbie Caillat. The amount of effort that went into making this 75th anniversary memorable was spectacular and it showed greatly. Thank you and God Bless.
