This past Friday, September 30th, I volunteered at the Green Umbrella Sustainability Forum at the Red Cross Headquarters in Cincinnati. This meeting was a follow up to the one I attended at the Zoo last year. I assisted with the set up and break down for the meeting along with helping facilitate the breakout sessions by taking notes of the session and assisting with the set up of the room. Over the five hours I was there I was also able to network with a plethora of high end members in the community as well as market some of my abilities.
At the end of the meeting, I was asked to become a member on the Waste Reduction and Conservation Action Team which will meet once a month. This team will focus on reducing the total volume of waste reaching landfills in the Cincinnati area and I am glad to be able to bring my skills to the table and help in whatever way possible.
