The men of Alpha Tau Omega at Ball State University have been raising awareness for prostate cancer as the fall semester comes to a close. Brothers of Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) have been wearing light blue prostate cancer ribbons and also using a specially designed profile picture on their Facebook pages to promote awareness and Sunday’s tournament. Many brothers also participated in “Movember”, a fundraiser where brothers vowed not to shave their mustaches for the month of November. A corn hole tournament held Sunday, December 11, 2011, to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation, was the culmination of these activities.
Multiple teams competed in the tournament. The top two teams coming out of the brackets were represented by members of Alpha Omicron Pi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon, with the men of SAE being crowned the overall winner.
This was Theta Alpha’s first solo philanthropy event. The tournament went smoothly and raised $150 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
