Kappa Nu Volunteers at No Kill Shelter

On November 20, in conjunction with IFC, the Kappa Nu chapter volunteered with the other Tech fraternities out at JP Ranch and Rescue. JP Ranch and Rescue is a no kill animal shelter housing dogs, cats, and horses. These animals have either been dropped off or been saved from pounds where they were about to be euthanized.

The brothers helped walk and play with the dogs to keep them active and give them attention. They fed not only the dogs but helped feed some apples to the horses that are there as well.  With winter right around the corner, JP Ranch and Rescue was trying to winterize all the pens. So the brothers helped clean cages, they also put fresh blankets inside the cages, and put tarps on the pens to help keep the cold wind from the dogs that are outside.

The afternoon opened the eyes of the brothers to a wonderful organization and the chapter is thinking about having more JP Ranch and Rescue work days.
