The Alpha Tau Omega Colony at Arkansas Tech, represented well in the intramural co-ed softball tournament at their school. Three teams of brothers and female friends were put together to play in the week and half long tournament. Out of the 29 teams that participated ATO placed all three teams in the final night of play. One team made it all the way to the championship game before losing in a tough battle. The other two teams swept through the losers bracket to play in that bracket’s semifinal games. With both teams on opposite sides of the bracket, there was a chance for the two ATO teams to face each other in the third place game but one team would end up losing finishing seventh in the tournament. The third ATO team ended up winning the third place game and helped the Tech Taus finish 2nd, 3rd, and 7th out of the 29 teams participating in the tournament. All in all it was a good showing of intramural athletics for the soon to be chapter. One of the wins by the 2nd place team came from the expense of a rivalry fraternity on campus, which was celebrated by all members.
