The Gamma Omicron Taus Senior Flag Football team was victorious in their match-up last night against Delta Sigma Phi A.  It was another chilly night under the lights for the Gamma Omicron senior team but we came out firing and scored on the initial drive to go up 6-0.  After trading scores the senior Taus went into the half up 12-6.

The second half was when this Taus team really took over.  There was some stellar defensive play all-around at the defensive line, linebacker and defensive back position throughout the second half.  This tough defense allowed for the offense to really be productive in the second half, led by the quarterback play of Matt Schmitz and the standout game by Kyle Price who had multiple key receptions for scores.  It wasn't just the offense and defense firing on all cylinders though.  A rare special teams punt that night proved to be a key in the Taus victory.  On a fourth down we elected to punt the ball away for field position and Matt Faller was able to pin the opposing team inside their own one yard line.

This overall great second half led to the senior Taus 25-6 victory in the quarterfinals.  This team has been peaking at just the right time and looks to continue on their road towards a championship with a semi-final match-up Wednesday night against Circle Pines.
