On Monday, November 14, 2011, Eric Medley and Kenneth Throop became official UAH Lancers. Lancers are the student ambassadors for the university and out of 7,800 undergraduates only the best of the best get selected. Last April they were inducted into the organization but were not considered official members until they had been Ceremonially given there Lancers' Pin. The Pinning Ceremony took place at the Fletcher Lowe House in downtown Huntsville; where currently the President of the University resides. The two brothers were pinned by Dr. Robert A. Altenkirch, in one of his first duties as the new President. Getting pinned signifies a long history of ATO's within the organization in which currently five ATO's are recognized as UAH Lancers out of 20 active members.
