Pledges of Kappa Iota attended the New Member Summit on October 2nd in Fisher Student Center, an in-depth workshop aimed at educating pledges more about what to expect and how to properly conduct themselves in Greek life on a college campus.  Topics included practicing safe sex, risk management information (prohibition of drugs, and alcohol to those underage) as well as lessons on what to do in emergency situations.  The workshop is an essential part and complements well the Alpha Tau Omega 8-week pledge education program which teaches students the appropriate way to serve as a member in a fraternity.  It was headed by the UNCW Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Phil McDaniel.
