This summer I served as the resident hall coordinator for Upward Bound which is a program that works with at-risk youth and promotes college and learning initiatives. It was a great experience because not only did I oversee 55 students over the course of eight weeks, but I also oversaw a team of five additional college peers. I lead them through the ins-and-outs of the program, helped guide them in the events they put on for the students and also dealt with the intricacies involved with managing peers.
