Saturday February 18th was Freshmen Experience Day at Kansas State University and Delta Theta Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega welcomed many young men to visit the Muir Family Chapter House. Most groups consisted of twenty or so nearly graduated high schoolers from all around Kansas and even other states in the Midwest. Prior to the event, Taus signed up to give house tours so that everyone had a good experience and learned as much as they could about the fundamentals and values of Alpha Tau Omega. We were very successful in attaining four or five guides so that the large group could be split down to about five students per guide, intenition of this was to make the feeling more personal and individualized. This was a very good method because then each student had the opportunity to ask questions and truly get to know their guide; also it prevented a cluster of young men because each group was venturing in different areas of the house. Later on that evening parents had the same privilege to tour the house and speak with the various members. Overall, this was a very successful day and really helped Alpha Tau Omega discuss individually with many men and parents what we are truly about and hopefully encourage them to think about joining in the future.
