Points are not awarded merely for
reporting. This means, that your submission needs to have plenty of detail
and be able to prove why it is worthy of being highlighted.
Submissions receive 5 points if judged to be worth highlighting
in the Success In Review section and 10 points if it is a submission worth
highlighting that comes from an alumnus or outside individual.
Positive coverage in the media (newspaper, TV, radio,
etc.) will earn the chapter 10 points.
If a chapter sends in raw video or photos of events, and the Roadshow
Crew uses that material, the chapter will receive 30 points.
If a chapter is a Host Chapter, it will receive 50 points.
If a chapter is a Target Chapter, it will receive 40 points
If a chapter has an alumnus or undergraduate featured as a Tau
VIP or Tau 2 Watch, it will receive 40 points.
The more details you give about an event, award, achievement, the
more likely that your report will receive points. If your submission is
only 1-2 sentences, then you will not receive any points. Most chapters
that do well in RegionRace submit approximately a paragraph or more for
each entry.
